In the heart of the Cònero
Park, a protected area of great natural interest, and half way to Portonovo
bay and Mount Cònero, is Hotel Emilia, inaugurated in 1964. Among beaches
just south of Ancona, Hotel Emilia sits adjacent to a natural terrace among
brooms, holm-oaks, strawberry-trees and vibrant lavender fields. From its
bright and beautiful 27 bedrooms and suites, you can enjoy a wonderful view
of the Mediterranean landscape as well as authentic historical jewels, such
as the Romanesque little church of "Santa Maria di Portonovo" (1034) and
the "Torre Clementina" (1716).During the summer you can enjoy your meals
outside, where there is a barbecue in the garden, a large swimming pool,
a tennis court and a recreational green. Sirolo's "Cònero Golf Club," of
which our hotel is a member, is just 8 kilometres southward.Hotel Emilia
is the ideal starting point for recreational excursions through the park's
many well used paths. From "nonna" (granny), Emilias' heritage, we offer
delicacies of the Marches Region, which include mainly fish dishes, as well
as fresh vegetables, home-made pasta, cakes and bread; all the best of the
local genuine tradition!A shuttle drives our guests to and from the beach,
for your convenience. Since 1966, the owners of the Hotel Emilia, the Fiorini-Dubbini
family, have been proud supports of "La Ginestra del Cònero," a benefit
for artists in the fields of painting, sculpture, and writing. A noteworthy
collection of contemporary art complements the hallways of Hotel Emilia.For
